Hi NobleKnitters! It's Nancy Queen from NobleKnits.com and I'm here to talk to you today about the Calistoga Cowl. But this cowl, I can't tell you how great it feels on my skin! It uses one skein of Freia Fibers hand painted Refined Fingering yarn. It's a combination of Merino Wool and Silk that's milled in the United States and the results are amazing. As you can see the color transitions are smooth. This is where my seam is, but other than that..the transitions are amazing. It's like a rainbow of color. With Freia Fibers, there's more than 30..I think we have 31 shades available for you to choose from and each one is prettier than the last.

This pattern uses a 4-row repeat and creates a pretty little feather and fan stitch pattern.  It's a really nice repeat. You get a rhythm down, so you don't have to keep looking at your pattern. You can keep track of it in your head, actually, or with a little row counter. I just wanted you to see how pretty the transition is.

Let me give you some specs on this. This one is long enough that you can wear it singled or doubled around the neck. And depending on what mood you're in, you can adjust the colors that you see. So let me give you some information. The completed measurements of this cowl are 44" circumference by 7" wide. I did block it lightly with a little steam. And, it's knitted on a US size 6 needle.
