A classic chevron stitch shines – literally – in Alpaculence. This special yarn has glitter, the soft halo of alpaca, and is self-shading to boot. The hat is knit in the round from the bottom up.

As written, this hat is somewhat slouchy. For a more fitted beanie, simply work fewer rounds of the Zig Zags pattern before beginning crown shaping.

  • 1 skein EACH of 2 colors Rozetti Alpaculence Yarn (available on Amazon), shown in #101 Obsidian and #103 Rainbow Pyrite

  • Size US 2 and 3 circular 16” needle

  • Size US 3 double pointed needles

  • Stitch marker

  • Tapestry needle
