If you want to become a better knitter, you're in the right place
Hi! I'm Nancy Queen, a knitting and crochet expert, and I'm here to help YOU learn to knit, crochet, and hone your needle crafting skills.
I love working with yarn!
I’m amazed with the endless options that can be created with two sticks, a hook, and some string.
I've written four books on needle crafting, owned two yarn stores, appeared on QVC with how-to kits, and helped thousands of crafters just like you.
Here are my two most popular books: The Chicks with Sticks Guide to Knitting and The Chicks with Sticks Guide to Crochet.
Over 20 years ago, I fell in love with knitting and crocheting. Not only were they a great way to pass the time, but they also allowed me to create something with my own two hands while relaxing me at the same time.
Knitting appeals to my creative side, and I love having the opportunity to help you improve and grow as a knitter.
I'm thrilled you are here to discover all of the benefits knitting and crocheting have to offer, and I can't wait to help you become a better needle crafter with every stitch you make!

What you'll find on this knitting blog is a lot of knitting inspiration, and knitting projects that are meant to be completed in little more than a weekend. Have fun and knit on!
I Love What I Do
When you are passionate about something, it's easy for others to take notice. I am a fiber enthusiast. I love to talk about yarn and knitting: new fibers, knitting techniques, needles, even new accessories and tools that make knitting (even more) fun. Use this blog to find knitting tips, how-to guides, knit alongs, free patterns, and even a funny story about a knitting mishap or two.
"A mistake in my knitting? That's a secret between me and God."
