Knitting Tip: How a Bath Towel Can Improve Your Knitting

The curved surface is ideal for not only side seams, but sleeves and underarm joins too!

Here's a little seaming tool that I made for myself that makes working seams portable and best of all, it takes nothing more than items you already have at home.

My favorite time to seam is while viewing my current cable TV guilty pleasure and I don't have a big flat surface handy. Anybody out there with me? Thought so. My solution will sit right on my lap, takes up no space at all,  travel with me anywhere,  even long car rides.

Here's all you'll need:

• A Bath Towel

• 2 Safety Pins

How it's done:

1. Fold your bath towel in half lengthwise.

2. Roll it up firmly, just like rolling a jellyroll.

3. Secure with 2 or 3 safety pins.

Now you can put your project on the roll and easily seam your projects together.
