How to Make a Slip Knot In Less Than One Minute!
How to make a slip knot
A slip knot is the way you will begin almost every knitting project.
It’s the beginning loop that goes on your knitting needle to kind of anchor things.
This stitch is counted as the first cast on stitch when counting the stitches on the needle.
Now, I’ll show you how easy it is to make a slip knot in less than one minute. Then you can get on with your knitting project.
Make sure you have a little bit of a tail (approximately 4-6"). Make two simple loops. Take one loop and insert it into the other loop. Pull ends to tighten slightly. Place it on the needle.
What's nice about a slipknot is that it's adjustable, so I tighten it up under the needle and it's ready to go.
