Mushroom Plushies Overview
You’ll get two sizes included in the pattern, a mamma and a baby. The baby is 3.5” tall and the mamma is 5.5” tall - just right for squishing!
The mamma also has some polka-dots on top because she’s a mature mushroom.
I used safety eyes on my mushrooms but if you are giving them to small children, you can use black yarn or embroidery floss for the eyes just to be safe.
Each mushroom is composed of three pieces - a stem, an underside, and a top.
All three pieces are crocheted in-the-round from the center out.
You’ll crochet the stem first, attach the eyes, and stuff.
Then you’ll crochet the underside.
If you’re making the mamma size, you’ll crochet the polka-dots and attach them to the top before stuffing.
Next you’ll work the top and then join the top and underside together with single crochet and stuff just before closing it up.
Finally, the stem is sewn to the top and your mushroom is complete.
