10 Tee Knitting Patterns We Love for Spring and Summer
If you haven’t knitted a sweater before, why not consider making a tee?
These pullovers may be worn alone in the warmer months and layered over a long-sleeved tee or under a cardigan when the weather turns cold.
They are a good approach to understanding the fundamentals of sweater construction. In addition, since they all feature short sleeves, you’ll complete your sweater faster for some “I knit this” gratification.

10 Pullover Tee Knitting Patterns
#1. Anker’s Summer Shirt Knitting Pattern
Anker’s Summer Shirt is worked from the top down. The yoke is worked in sections of rib with increases in the round, followed by classic raglan increases when the stockinette stitch section begins. The sleeves are worked at the end, either on double-pointed needles or on circular needles using the Magic Loop technique.
Anker’s Summer Shirt has no finishing other than weaving in ends. It’s a great tee to wear three seasons out of the year.

Layering pieces are my favorite to wear and knit. And Alanis is just that - a cozy sweater tee/vest that’s perfect for layering, is an easy knit yet still features a few fun details, such as an icord edge split hem and an inset pocket (with contrasting color pocket lining!).

#4. Cloudesley Women’s Tee Knitting Pattern
Details, details, details! This sweater features a stunning back panel.
Cloudesley is worked seamlessly from the top down using the contiguous set-in sleeve method (developed by Susie Myers) to shape the shoulders and sleeve caps. First increases are worked on both RS and WS rows to final shoulder width, while setting up the slip stitch pattern band for the back, then the sleeve caps are worked simultaneously with the V-Neck shaping to sleeve separation. Then the body is worked top down in rounds to the bottom, where a slip stitch pattern band is added to the front. Sleeves are worked top down in rounds. Neck finishing is worked last.
